2010 Locus Award Results
The results are in for this year’s Locus Awards, sponsored by Locus: The Magazine of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Field. There are ten writing awards, recognizing the best of the genre for Science Fiction, Fantasy, First Novels, Young Adult Books, Novellas, Novelettes, Short Stories, Anthologies, Collections, and Nonfiction/Art Books.
The 2010 Locus Award for Best Young Adult Book goes to Scott Westerfeld’s Leviathan, a highly-recommended, illustrated, steampunk-infused novel that rewrites WWI as a battle between robots and genetic manipulation.

This book has been on my to-read list since I first heard of it last fall, and with Locus’s endorsement, it just moved closer to the top.
